What does the free tier actually get me?
A real product, not a demo. The map, access points, stream ratings, and live conditions inside a 50 mile radius, the full catch journal with its insights, and one private circle. If all you want is a good gauge reader with a map, the free tier is that.
Why is the Fishability Score behind the paywall?
Because it is the work. Raw gauge data is public and we pass it through for free. Turning it into a judgment across every stream, every hour, is the part that costs us money to build and run.
How does the free trial work?
Both plans start with a 14 day free trial. If you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, you pay nothing. Otherwise it becomes $39.99 a year or $7.99 a month, whichever you chose, and you can cancel any time in your store account settings.
Where does it work?
Colorado and Montana. Colorado: 6,100 named streams, about 590 live flow gauges, and about 7,800 access points. Montana: 9,850 named streams, about 220 gauges, and about 5,100 access points.
Is there a free beta?
No. RiseCast launches paid, with a real free tier and a free trial on Pro. Before launch, a small invited group of Colorado anglers is checking stream coverage. There is no public beta and no free Pro period.
How does the trial work?
Every plan starts with a 14 day free trial. Cancel any time before it ends in your App Store or Google Play settings and you are not charged.
Do you sell my data or my spots?
No. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not through a marketplace. Subscriptions are the entire business model, which is exactly why we can say that.
